A Family Tradition of Giving
Is part of your holiday tradition to rush from store to store looking for gifts for people who already have everything they need? Or perhaps your tradition is standing in line after a holiday to return the gifts you don't need. Whether celebrating Hanukah, Birthdays, Easter, Valentine’s Day or Christmas – gift giving can be stressful.

The Barrow Family of Menlo Park came to the realization that they already have everything they need, and it would be better to give to a charity instead of themselves. Each season, a member of the family selects an organization to receive a donation and educates the family on the work of the organization. The responsibility for selecting the benefiting organization rotates between family members each year. Kellie Barrow said "Knowing that all we need to do at Christmas is pick a cause, educate ourselves on the cause, then give to the cause, ultimately causes us to have a reason to celebrate! It just feels right, and helps with the stress level of the season."

Recently, Kellie Barrow, on behalf of her family selected TGMF to be the recipients of the family's Christmas donation, and we thank them for including TGF in their tradition of giving.
